A lot of us are quite clean - worst thing I have ever done was speeding (and got points).

Yes I have done 3 figure speeds past a plain clothes Police car :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ - and got 3 points

Sorry Guy but totally clean, have an 'enhanced Police check' to prove, if you need to see it, have to get a new one every 3 years ::) ::) could not do my work without it.... :y

I had lots of driving related convictions as a yoof but didnt get any criminal convictions. It was pure luck though. I did quite a few things that could easily have resulted in a bit of time at her majestys pleasure. I am ashamed of them now of course, but I would imagine a fairly high proportion of young males do such things.Teenage angst and all that....
I dont believe in the "use them for target practice etc" argument.I believe that everyone deserves a second chance, but I have no time for habitual and/or very serious offenders.
I dont belive in prisoners being allowed to vote though, although I also dont believe in the long term unemployed being allowed to vote either.
No representation without taxation - to turn an old saying on its head. ;)

Thankyou. I only did silly things but got caught. No good at petty crime so gave it up @ 20 yrs old & clean as a whistle ever since. Mugs game & i deserved what i got. I just wanted to hear i'm not the only one who has committed certain crimes that could've resulted in a stretch should they have been collared. At least one other has come out of the woodwork to show i'm not alone!!! :y

Our leaders for whom being a cabinet minister, Chancellor, PM, etc. is no longer the culmination of a long career in politics as it was before the European parliament, but merely a stepping stone to the land of milk and honey in Brussels, always have their eyes on the next career move. That means not sticking their head above the parapet and representing the views of their electorate but toeing the EU line and not burning too many bridges. That's why we are so weakly represented in Europe.

Me too. With a great deal of experience with the criminal fraternity I believe that they expect others behave as they do, and begin to think criminality is the norm!

I've got enhanced CRB check for my job too-Without it I couldnt do my job either.
Any body can make a mistake once But in my local paper its always the same names/offences in the name an shame section
