Not arguing about the rights and wrongs of smoking, and yes the centre is no smoking, but 8 (eight) security guards to handle it!
I see. I have contact with security guards on a daily basis. I've found there a two main types. The first (& worst) are those who have an over inflated sense of self importance & make a simple procedure irritatingly arduous. The 2nd (& best) are those who welcome you onto said site, phone round & try to deal with any problems, bookings, references etc. open gates, stop traffic to back me in if necessary & know which mirror i need to see them in.
One of the best is worth more than 8 of the worst.
Agreed. Had an almost 100% positive experience of bouncers etc when at uni, to the point of lockins, and eating some amazing Thai food at 5am with a group of them id only just met half an hour before...I think one of them even bought me the meal! (drunk at the time, so not sure) Compared with being back home where one elbowed me out the way, bending my glasses in the process, in order to pull a fire exit door to. Ignorant, unapologetic, and 'I' was in the way, of course.
Happy to say 95% of all Ive met are good 'uns. As ever, the minority spoil it for the majority.
