In some folk chilli releases a pheremone. If cooking curry (Indian Mrs Dundee has the Thai well & truly sewn up by a country mile, had a couple of goes at the panang though...passable!) i'll only add a sprinkle of chilli powder to the pot. If it's for me half a bag of birds eye chillies go into the blender with the sauce & the other half are sliced lengthways & slung in the pan so i get the odd "crunch" when eating, Yum!!! :D
