I know it's not the point, but was the equipment insured?
Have you informed the police?

There's little to be constructively said about such a despicable act Doog other than I'm sorry that you've been victimised in this way.

leaving gear like that unatended in this day and age you was takeing a big risk
didnt your car alarm go off?
dont think your car insurance will cover it,but your house insurance might.

should be covered on a fully comp car policy with a decent insurer  unless it was worth a huge amount, they might have a problem tho if its for professional use unless you've told them that already  :-?

either way - it still sucks, probably find the gear popping up in a local "cash generator" soon as they always seem full of turntables  :-/

I really feel for you mate. Life is pretty tough for folk who abide by the law and try and do the right thing only to be the victims of this sort of crime. Why should you have to double lock, fit alrarms and trackers on cars?  Until you have had a car stolen or broken into or a house burglary you don't really appreciate the angst even if you think you are insured.

I seriously wish that governemnets would stamp on these perpetrators far harder than they do now.

My solution for what it is worth is to set up a giant car breakers business using these folk (when caught) then law abiding folk could buy parts at a reduced price. It could be located on a Scottish Island served only by a raliway line. SCROTES I hate them. Yet another reason why I left England having suffered myself from car theft and break ins. :y

B**t*rds. If you caught one in the act and gave him (or her) a wallop you'd probably be the one getting your collar felt.
