Aoccdrnig to rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoetnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer be at the rghit pclae. The rset can be a toatl mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit a porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe.

We have all seen different versions of the above. I am curious, but don't mean to offend anyone. Can those with dyslexia unscramble the words as well ???  AFAIK dyslexics see some words (when written normally) scrambled (or have I got that totally wrong ? ).  I am not dyslexic, but often write some words jumbled (Somerest intead of Somerset, for example, or daet for date) .... when at school my teachers just said my brain was getting ahead of my pen !!!

Mind you I think I might well be numerically dyslexic ( is there such a thing? ) as I very often when, for instance, am given a phone number to write down, will repeat it correctly as it is told me, but still write the numbers in the wrong order -- and it will take a couple of re-reads to notice !!!!

I always thought dyslexia jumbled whole words? don't know but sometimes my pen gets away from me too and i think it's more to do with frustration and patience!

I didn't know I was dyslexic until recently when I went to a Toga Party dressed as a Goat!
