I can't believe so many people have such a downer on the royals. most of the male royals have served there country.

Yes it costs a bit to keep them, but would any of you like to live their life ? anything and everything you do under scrutiny from someone and you cannot answer back.

I would not like there positions.

i'd do it, i think the pay and perks compensate for the inconveniences

On the commercial front this should bring into the country a good deal of cash from tourism.  Us peasants may also get a Bank Holiday, although I realise that doesn't help the self employed   But as the ex-Sex Pistol on the English butter advert says "it is your career choice!

Good luck to them. Wills seems a decent enough bloke. It may just save Britain from a double dip recession and take the peasants mind off loss of services, bankers bloody bonuses and food price inflation..

I did however object to Charles and Camilla in writing to the Queen and the Archbishop of Canterbury. I dare say I will be beheaded if I ever go back to the UK.
