well, if you have to ask Mr Skrunts  :y

I was reflecting on Jeremy Clarksons claim a few years back that all the knobbers have moved into Audis....and it does seem to be the case based on going up and down the A9 every day, obviously the X3,5 and 6's are still untouchable-even if I had the money....likewise anything that has a cardboard boot and carbon fibre roof to save weight, yet its driven by a guy 3 stone overweight still makes me smile...bless  :y

anyway i fancy another large RWD estate and decent migs seem a bit pricey these days so, looking at the choices you've got Mercs, Beemers, Volvo V90's or Omegas and er...thats it  :-/

I would think as long as use the indicators and remember there are 2 other lanes on the motorways, and be more courteous than others then it would be acceptable.

There is not to much wrong with them it just appears to be the type of people who generally drive them. I know that is lumping them all in the same basket. But when everyone you follow has no working indicators then it is justified to do this.  ;D

Oh and whether you can live with the looks of the newer one's is entirely up to you, I know I could not.

I used to love the old Beemers.

I part learned to drive in a 72 2500 Auto whuch was great at 17 years old and I think is the reason behind me likeing the auto's and 6 cyclinder.

But them had an R plate 320 followed by W plate 323i (upto when my Dad passed away in 82)  Both my brother and myself have allways said we would have a BMW a piece, but the only one he has fancied was the 850i and I went off them years ago, the last one I actually liked was arround the x reg 535i with the twin exhaust in the middle (early 80's)

Have looked at the odd 735 since but dont seem value for money that the Omega Elite is.

There are several things wrong with beemers, very wrong, and that's before the driver even gets in it...

A sales rep for a company I worked for came out with the folllowing:

"Nowt wrong with BMWs, but they're a bit like a sh**ty smell.
Every a*s*hole seems to have one."

Thing is, these days if I were going to consider 5/6k on a beemer I would rather go get another Elite and spend the rest on this.

I never thought I'd say this, but, in order to preserve your image, I think you should choose a Volvo instead. ;D
