How do they do it?

People just amaze me, earlier on whilst out in the van driving along a road. Scenario is I'm driving up a road, there's a lidl to my left, now coming out of lidl the view couldn't be clearer anyway driving up here at about 30 MPH as you have to come round a corner to get to the lidl anyway, driving along as you do, lights on the van are on, now call me stupid but I didn't think you could miss 6000k Xenons, I get right onto the lidl junction when an 08 plate Vectra decides to just pull out as if I wasn't coming, how I never hit the bloke I honestly don't know I was inches from his bumper. So of course there was an ultimate fit of road rage.

Anyway back to the point how do people do this, I mean literally can you be that blind to miss a silver Astra Van with headlights switched on? It's totally beyond me, what winds me up even more is they don't even have the courtesy to apologise, I mean if I were ever that thick just to pull out on someone, I'd have to put my hand up at least, but this bloke, no he just carried on looking in his mirror. God it boils me up, anyway rant over  >:(

Try drving a Smart Roadster for a few days. While I appreciate that it's not the biggest car in the world, the number of people who do the same as you've just had happen to you is just unbelievable. People just don't look!

its getting worse round here now and to be honest i really cant work out how some of them have passed there tests. it is nothing more than pure ignorance and incompetence. i road rage when someone does it to me, my temper boils when they give the finger up as a lot do  >:(

Not if you hit me from behind and I say you threatened me with violence and that you should be locked up for frightening an innocent old man after speeding into my rear ;D

In all seriousness though, I think that's why a lot of people do it, ok it may save them waiting until someone ploughs them in the side, which'll cause them a whole load of waiting.

It's much, much worse on a bike.  Dipped beam on, open cans (boy they were loud buggers) and STILL people did not see me.  Twice in one journey I had to perform emergency stops because of a driver not paying attention.  The first time the person stopped and apologised, fair enough.  Second time the twonk just waved me away.  He got a volley of abuse that would've made a Dutch Navvie blush I turned round and caught up with him.  One of the handful of times I have ever reacted badly on the road in over 26 years, and I am not in the least bit sorry for it either.
