If done tastefully, no problem  :y

Unfortunately there seems to be a lot of people who wouldn't know 'tasteful' if it smacked them in the face!

No Xmas decs for me, either, although if my folks are coming up I imagine I'll have to get the little pyramid of lights out (about 2' tall) .. that's all I have ;D

being an old "kid" of 21 and leaving at home, i dont think lights are as sad as my old dear wanting to do different colour themes each xmas.... whet ever happened the the gold old fashioned multi colour lights and the gold red and green tinstle?

for us, last year, its was dark blue and silver, with blue lights, and clusters of balls in the 2 colours dotted about hanging from the ceiling.... now being 6 foot 9 in height can u see how it was not fun for me  >:( >:( ;D ;D ;D ;D

Won't bother with much this year, only son left at home, looks at the x-box more than the decorations. But travelling to Oxshott to spend Xmas with in laws....  :-/

Not in this quarter BJ.

I have a real Douglas Fir potted up.  I bring this to the front of the house every year, decorate and light it and enjoy the seasonal message of warmth and good cheer that it conveys to me (at least) on each and every occasion that I pass it by.

sounds beautiful Zulu, we pick up our tree on the 7th - cant wait. I think we should have something, a celebration like the yanks have thanksgiving and that heralds the start of xmas.......if we had a day here on the 25th of November, which was a big event before which shops arent allowed a hint of xmas - keeps it special  8-)
