everytime i take the washing out the machine i have an odd number of sox. last week it was 17 this week it is 31 and thats not just these 2 occasions. i'm gonna wash 2 later jst to see what happens

More like men cannot be bothered to couple socks together before placing them in the wash bin, and that is if they put them both in the bin!!  Many lose themselves under beds and furniture generally when they are kicked off at bedtime, and maybe one sock is lucky enough to find the bin on that occasion!!
