Adobe Reader
« on: 30 November 2010, 09:21:11 »

I have Adobe Reader on my PC (v9.4) and i'm having problems with it.
If i go to look at something on the web and the information is in the form of a PDF file i can't open it, i just keep getting a message saying that the version i have installed is unable to open the file and that a different version (v8 or v9) is needed.
The only way i can view some of these files is to save them to the PC and open them there but that isn't always possible.
This appears to be a common problem and is well documented on Google, i've followed the instructions given there to rectify the problem but it doesn't stop it happening.
I'm running Windows XP and using Internet Explorer, i've also tried Firefox and it made no difference. I've uninstalled and re-installed Adobe several times and this hasn't helped either. Contacting Adobe has been a waste of time aswell.
Does anybody on here have/had the same problem, if you have how did you cure it ?
