I had fun today..

Last night when it was pitch black, I had tyre blow out a few hundred yards from home.  And with no where to pull over due to the thick snow and it being so dark, I decided to nurse the car home.  Left it till today to change the wheel in the snow:

Long time since I've seen a car tyre that bad! :o :o :o :o

I would check your other tyres as well, because there appears to be a hole well up on the blown tyre's wall which seems like a weakness deciding to go :o :o ;)  What was the quality level of this tyre? :-/

Actually a very good tyre and have done well in Evo tests etc..  I've ordered a replacement tyre of the same type for fitting tomorrow.

The holes may be due to me having to drive 'on the tyre' for the last few hundred metres in thick snow, as I had nowhere to pull over and it was pitch black at night.

The tyre pressures were fine on the rest.

What was it you said about it stopping LZ? ;D

I've got work in this later  :(

I know, what a joke Del! :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[

Believe it or not though I have just seen a full sized gritter lorry of the type you see on main roads actually gritting the very local roads around our houses, even coming into the the communal road for our blocks of flats!! :o :o :o :o

Full marks to Kent County Council :y :y :y
Bloody hell we are lucky to get the main roads gritted here in Bracknell let alone the side roads that have bus routes on >:(

So .. it'll be fun on the way home, is what you're saying ;D
No Mate roads are clear except for the normal prats .... just refering to if it does get thick as we have seen LZ pics

Ah that's alright then :) My road gets a bit interesting when it snows - very light traffic down the top end of the road leading to mine (as it's a dead end) and only 10 houses down my road, at least one of whom is retired and doesn't drive.. in Feb I ended up trying to use the front of the MR2 as a snow plough as I turned into my road ;D

Didn't work too well..
