Ah, yes, but following on from the claims that excessive salt raises blood pressure, they will soon claim that using the salt on the roads raises tyre pressures too so, in the interests of road safety, they'll stop using it.

Only because they have weight over the driven wheels. Easily remedied in a rwd car if you feel the need.
As I was driving home from work this morning in my auto Mig, there was some dickhead expert on Essex radio giving advice, which included " if you have a rwd auto, dont even bother trying, it just doesnt work at all".

Totally unnecessary. Just tell him it's bowlocks and, as you pay his wages, you're going to complain to the Dept of Transport. He will probably sh!t himself there and then.

STMO - it is not like this down here - you may get away with that in Wakefield but here you will get a long response (as I did the last time we had snow) which also costs the tax payer - he is good at letters!!

Yes it is.

They actually spray the saline soloution on the motorway, used to be gritted but probably too many complaints and insurance claims put paid to using it.
