So, sour grapes aside, does this stink to high heaven? Or not?
I've no axe to grind, I'm not English so looking at it impartially the England bid was far and away the best technical bid yet apparently only 3 or 4 delegates actually even bothered to read the report!! In a 4 horse race for the best bid to recieve only 2 votes out of 22-and one of them was from their own guy........hmmmm, I don't buy it.
If a bid that good gets only 2 votes(and one of them was from England itself), theres little point in ever applying unless Fifa radically changes its voting system.
Oh and a final point, I hear Sepp Blatter "reminded" the delegates of the "evil media" (ie the free british press) before they voted......i'm sure now that Blatter has avoided giving England the World Cup, our press will leave all those honest, hardworking Fifa delegates alone

the whole thing stinks, and for that reason, to show support for our neighbours, Scotland will refuse to qualify for any future World Cups, a plan they put in place over 10years ago
