I'll have to show my Dad this over chrimbo Nick. He's a retired vet & has written (& had published) a book on homeopathy as you can treat animals & babies who are too young for conventional medicines. "0 years back a neighbour was desperate cos her 3 month old boy had a hideous cold, could'nt sleep, eat anything. I phoned Dad & ground up one tablet that he advised with a teaspoon, too it into mum who dabbed her finger & stuck it in littl'uns gob. He was asleep within 10 minutes.
Placebo effect does'nt work on babies or animals so no power of suggestion. Guy.
Guy, I didn't post this to reflect any views on homeopathy, merely because it was, in my opinion, just a brilliantly-funny spoof article. As it happens, I am not against homeopathy as a form of treatment. Those who become so virulently against it normally concentrate (if you'll pardon the pun) on the apparent dilution factors. Clearly, though, to any open-minded person, the use of natural remedies has a great deal to offer (though less money for those who do not benefit from drug companies

).
For example, I have recently read of US university research which points to cinnamon having the ability to regulate blood sugar levels. Mindful of the fact that that I need to keep mine down, I now sprinkle it on my porridge every morning. The bonus is that fact that I like the taste of it!
