In fairness to Goldie, she had been garage serviced for so long, that it had a massive number of 'issues'.I had a stack of receipts for various work being done at various garages, but I think the previous owner had had the wool pulled over his eyes 

Very much like my first Omega by the sounds of it. It almost put me of them for life. I had just about sorted all its problems by the time I gave it away sold it.
My current one, was previously owned by a fellow drunkard OOFer and has run sweet as a nut since I bought it - so far.

Its one thing to have an easily missed dirt mark left behind, but the state of that is truely shocking

and could easily have been avoided with the use of a seat cover, floor mat and taking his overalls off.

It looks like he has used the car to go collecting bits round scrap yards.   Shocking as you say.

For me it just proves when it comes to mechanics you can trust no-one, even "friends of the family"!

Either you do it yourself, which in my book is the right way to go, or you find a garage that can be trusted due to either recommendation or personal experince!

No one else touches my car who don't fall into that category, and that poor 'soiled'car says it all!

From now on i think i will lizzie! anyway i have decided to get the car fully valeted inside and out with the money i got back off him. cleaned most of it off but i want it perfect. My girlfriends brother is a mobile valeter so hes coming on monday to get it mint again!
