They do land on their feet, but when they jump from that sort of  height the front legs tend to splay out so they hit their jaw on the ground and break the jaw. So I was told by a vet many years ago.

actually , they are not that strong , most of them break their legs, bones, jaws etc.. but they cant say..

and they are not that resistent to cold.. one of our cats (3 years old) is sick now and stay near the heater for the last 2 days without eating anything..

time for anthibiotics!

In this cold weather my old cat only goes out when I put him out, he must have a massive bladder because he sleeps by the radiator all day and doesn't budge ;D

Remarkably similar colourings to our Snow Leopard " Leo " , heartbreaking when you lose them though .

My brother had two of these until Monday night. He'd gone out and left the two cats in the house, as usual, and one of them managed to trap itself between a house radiator & a box that it had somehow managed to knock over onto itself. The poor thing was dead when he came back just about 15 mins later.  :'( :'(

Being a cat oriented thread it would be remiss of me not to contribute. ;D ;D

Cuthbert the flowerpot cat.

Cuthbert and Bertram thinking cat thoughts.

Bertram the half-cat (part-timer) resting in typically indulgent fashion. (sadly no longer alive)

A cute Professor Sourgravy a few days ago.

Fearless Fogarty - a very aloof cat.

Cuthbert and Ethelbert (maniac part-time cat)

Resident fox snootering around in the back field the other day.

General scene down the back field towards the river.

 :) :)

very good piccies Zulu..

And I must note those cats are very well feed, clean and well looked :y :y :y
