well car was due to be booked in for crank seal doing at some point this week but instead i had a trip to asda to buy a new dryer this morn so crank seal on the back burner for a while now ive got the seal its been in glove box for a fortnight just cant afford to put it in the garage now , i would rather have had the crank seal as iam in the car more than iam home

what a pain  but priorities first   could you not have a go yourself  im sure someone on here would help

unfortunatly i hant got the know how to attempting something like that ,let alone the tools to do it. brakes , exhausts ect is about my limit tools and knowledge wise, as the car needs to be on the road 24/7 as i dont have other transport i really couldnt risk attempting it

I've just looked at the Haynes manual, and it doesn't look that bad. If you are doing a cambelt/tensioner/waterpump change, while you have the belt off, remove the front crank sprocket, then remove the oil seal.

thats the bit that scares me, removing timing belt ect i really cant afford to get it wrong, if cars off rd iam knackered for work as i work in north yorkshire and no other way of getting there its leaked since i got the car around 3k ago so fingers crossed it will be ok for a while yet,

It should be fine as long as the oil isn't leaking onto the belt.
The oil causes the belt to rot over time.
