Well as this country, along with its institutions and people, has been shafted so many times by many in the wider world does it really matter if there’s an extra millimetre or two in the girth of the implement used?

As a nation proud of our heritage and independence we're all washed up.

Sadly so PF: Destroyed as it has been by gutless sycophants, nancy-boys, fops and bloody liberals more concerned with their own circumstances than those of the nation.

1. (Historical Terms) (esp in the 19th century) a person opposed to the extension of the British Empire
2. Brit informal a person who perceives most foreign influences on Britain's culture and institutions as damaging or insidious

If that's not a tongue in cheek remark just meant to get a kneejerk reaction Pitchfork, perhaps you could enlighten us on your stance in this respect? :)

Tongue firmly in cheek, after all the population of Britain are complete hybrids i.e. Celts, Saxons, Danes, French, African (there was a sizable black population in the 17th centuary in this country that became completely absorbed) etc.etc.
It amuses me at the way in which some of the Forum members react, frightening too right wing in my opinion (there might not be enough rope & lamp-posts to go round!)
BTW the oh-so-English tradition of Morris Dancing came from the Moors who occupied the south of Spain  Moorish dancing so nothing is sacred! :P
