rather Amazon Customer Service
« on: 16 December 2010, 18:15:35 »

or lack of......

I order 2 books on the 2nd December, one of them is intended to be a birthday present for my dad this weekend.  Order dispatched and estimated to arrive 8th dec.  I thought I would be patient knowing the time of year and how busy it is.

For days I have been trying to get through to someone or get an email responded to.  Emails go unanswered and when on hold they cut me off after 30mins.

received other packages recentlywhich were ordered and received from Scotland in 4 days so no excuse.  This has happened before with Amazon, rather useless bunch  >:(

Everything I have ordered from Amazon, especially many, many books, have always come through in a remarkably short time.  Sometimes within 24 hours! ;) ;)

So I must say I have experienced nothing but an excellent service over now three years. :)

If they use Royal Mail, its normally OK.  If they post it HDNL, I find its best to call up and cancel the order...

there are some places with a minor backlog due to weather

i'm still waiting on a parcel from 7th december (not amazon)

there's a chance its down to the local delivery office itself as to why you've not received them but have received other stuff, i.e. they're basically picking random parcels out of the backlog to deliver, instead of clearing it in the right order

Well, in the same time I've received an order from China and one from the US (needed Vaseline when it came to customs clearance though) :o.

Also waiting on stuff from Amazon. >:(

My dad's birthday on Saturday. Luckily not reliant on Amazon.

as some may be aware, I sell books for a living, both online, and in a couple of shops.
I selll around £1000 per week on Amazon. (amazon ID the-book-man)

I've had several orders recently where amazon have not told me about an order, but informed customers that it's been despatched - caused me some real trouble!

Can I suggest that you initiate an a-z claim against the seller?
At the very least, you will get your money back,

If you have any books you want, PM me, and I'll see what I can do.
