at first sorry to every one who will thray to read this because my english is not to good I'm from Macedonia.
I'v have a my first opel omega few mounths ago and today I was on MOT (I'm not shure dose theth is tha right name  its onese year tehnikal exzame on car and ...) and the guys there tall me the engine is not theth wan who is in my paper for my car I have opel omega 2.5td from 1995 estate and in paper is engine nomber 25dt32828134 but now they say the nomber is 25GT****** its not important for me anather nombers my question is ? can be 25GT on TD car and if its posible did some one will now to tall me what engine have my car hom much power I have and ....  :question :question :question :question

Hi Vlatko and welcome to the forum. I think you'll get a better response to your question if it is posted in the Omega General Help section. Maybe one of the admins will move it there for you. Sorry I don't know the answer myself.

Where in Macedonia are you? I've been there a number of times - though always in the South around Gevgelija (I've never been to Skopje!).

There is 2 engines used in the UK X25TD and U25TD.
The U25TD is the first diesel engine fitted to the omega and it changed to the X25TD in 1996 Someone will know when they changed over.
In europe there was a third fitted it was the X25DTI on cars 2001 onwards

You don't have a miss-type on your paperwork do you?  Is the rest of the number correct?

could it be from a BMW perhaps ?

which would give you
25=2500 cc
G=<=8.5 compression ratio
D=diesel
T=turbo

thenks guys for help but I still dont now the answer and maybe I will newer now I went to servis just to ask and thay say to me its ok the engine is ok its just like what neade to be and nothing alse when I tall them theth the engine is changed they answer to me its normal the first engine have go down and must to put new one and its ok (and I now theth but this ENGINE NOMBER  25GT..... this is the first 4 ) can I check the engine nomber did some one now where on engine is the engine nomber I thray to faund but nothing
