I remember the snow in 62-63 as an 8 year old - seem to remember it was around for months! Mind you, the schools were still open and life went on unlike the chaos we get today. Now you get a couple of inches and the whole country grinds to a halt. That's progress for you! ::)

I remember that one too !! ( can't remember last week though  ::) ).

Was living in Aberdare and the snow drifted over to our side of the street so much that it was up to the bedroom windowsill. Opening the front door just revealed a white wall of solid snow !

My 315 mile drive from Pembrokeshire to north Essex tomorrow could be interesting. ::)

dont risk yourself, use trains or bus.. :-/

If it snows, they won't be running either..  :D

Tiny tiny bit of snow in Bracknell, too (it's also as windy as me after a big curry)

The BBC site shows my little corner can expect the white stuff from around 9pm this evening.  :-/
We had a light dusting that lasted all of 10 minutes last time they gave the 'Ooh yer in for it !' forecast.

Aye, obviously the same applies here too ::)
I don't finish work later 'til 0035, so hope it holds off >:(
Have also just been 'persuaded' to work my rest days on both Black Friday and Saturday (at enhanced pay rates)! :y
So hoping that the white stuff stays away! ;D

Spoke too soon - blizzard-like conditions here now, and snowing heavily ::)

It`s no good; no matter how hard you`ve tried to disguise it....we can still see your car! ;D

You also clearly get a better class of graffiti artist in South Wales. ;)
