Or Merry Christmas! Yes! I finally made it to paradise, but barely! We got the last plane on the 23rd which the wife and I agreed would be our last attempt. The 4 day delay was made up for with a seat in business class on the top deck of a 747. We spent the night in Chicago and then continued via San Francisco finally arriving in Honolulu at 3pm local time yesterday. It's coming up to 6am here on Christmas day so you can imagine the jetlag I have right now!
We went for dinner at a restaurant on Hickham Air Force base last night for all you can eat seafood buffet so I am all crab-legged out. We also saw Air Force one parked up as Obama is in Kailua on his annual vacation. A family friend of ours is close to the Obamas so there is a remote outside chance of bumping into them at some point (yeah right! lol)
Tomorrow I am shopping for flies and leaders ready for a couple of days salidioter flyfishing action and I have a reservation with a boat for some deep-sea fishing too hopefully I can reel in a wahoo or a mahi mahi for dinner. I am so excited to be back here, it truely is a magical and spiritual place. I am not normally one for all this spiritual stuff but for some reason I seem to have a deep connection with Hawaii. I have the camera with me so photos to follow
