Bravo was part of the suite of channels Sky purchased from Virgin Media, in the reshuffle it was decided to move best bits to channel one and scrap bravo

Virgin Media sold the channels to sky which is why virgin one was rebranded to channel one as sky didn't have the rights to use the virgin brand.
They decided the content was too similar to sky 2 and 3 so removed them

All we need to do now is get rid of all the rest of the channels and the world will be a nicer place to live.
Sky TV What a rip off and a legalsied one at that.

Chuffed to hear that.  Missus was only saying to me yesterday that World's Strongest Man should be on about now.  Looked into it and saw it was only on Bravo and Freeview don't cover that.

So we missed it by a country mile, not just the country hundred yards. >:( >:(

It's on "E! Entertainment", 9pm Tuesdays (According to the www.sky.com TV listings..) 'course you have to buy the "Variety pack" for that..

Take away a channel and people will find a way to get the programmes.

Ranging from downloading to waiting for DVDs

TBH most good series are on FTA with the BBC

Depends on your tastes. Saturday, early evening kids programmes, the BBC has it covered (though ITV try to compete with their version of a Saturday early evening kids programme - Primeval)

BBC just seems full of repeats. I find myself recording much more ITV/CH4/Five now (also full of repeats). Pity I can't find a decent automatic ad stripper for up-to-date versions of media center - I have to F-FWD the ads myself :(

The beeb still wins on nature progs though :y
