I'm a red-blooded male, far too in touch with my masculine side, to own any gayStation :P

Got a seXBOX360, but don't use it for games.

I did all my serious gaming when I were a lad, on Spectrums, Amigas, NES and PC. Kinda stopped after spending too much time on DOOM/DOOMII (none of the modern games can match that excitement and atmosphere, including the awful DOOM3 from about 10yrs ago).

I do have a Wii though, as its not antisocial like gayStation and seXBOX.  As Martin Imber rightly says, its about FUN, and for me, that means being inclusive with family/friends...

...which reminds me, there could be a Mario Kart opportunity on Wed evening....

Don't mean to cause offence but, You lot might be a bit old for all this,

But do any of you have PS3?

I've got most the decent games -
COD - Black Ops, MW2, MW
GT 5
Mx v Atv Reflex
etc etc

Add me - Jordanm100 but make sure you message me saying your user name on here and who you are etc, So i know to accept  ;D

Cheeky sod - too old  :-/

If I had a PS3 I would probably have all off those games and more, and yes, I am an old fart. ::)

Nothing wrong with a Playstation, got most of the best games on it, and multiplayer is not antisocial.

Actually the Xbox is generally considered to have more of the best games, and still generally remains the gamer's favourite.

BUT they are both antisocial, and no matter how you dress it up, people in the same room cannot join in for 20mins of laugh and fun. Online is a laugh (again, XBOX Live rules here), but still doesn't get away from that sad spotty teenager thing...

Nearly bought a Kinect for the seXBOX yesterday (MS could be onto something here - Wii type fun, with current generation console power/resources), but not sure my front room is big enough - it needs masses of space :o

As to best games - since 2007 the PS3 exclusives have been better in quality than the 360 ones.

As to playing together 3 children all playing Little Big Planet together.

The first sentence doesn't make sense, pure bull.  By definition, that means that the Xbox exclusive games have been better than the gayStation ones. And that the ZX81 exclusive games are better than any console game.

Even somebody such as yourself, deluded into thinking that the gayStation is the be-all and end-all of consoles for any scenario, would have to concede that the console does not appeal to this new niche (though becoming more mainstream) of 'family fun', that Nintendo has carved out with its underpowered console.

Early indications are that Fony's Move controller isn't selling as well as hoped (according to the trade mags), MS's Kinect is expected to sell well (retailers are depleting wholesaler stock), and Nintendo still outsell the pair.

Never liked the PS3, controllers are utter shite, thumbs would ache after hour or two. Can play COD all day with xbox controllers no issues, much better design. Failure rate just has high as xbox, could never see the appeal of them

In fairness to Fony, it is quieter, and does have gayRay player...

...but given the seXbox issues, Fony have no excuse for the poor reliability of the console. And at least Microsoft did the honourable thing once the issue became apparently.

But then Fony have almost crApple style fanboys, and boy, do Fony exploit them  :-X

Well, that's not hard.. the Xbox sounds like a ruddy Dyson! Could never figure out how they had so many 'overheating' issues given that it could probably take off and hover using those fans..

Designed in an era where you made chips (CPUs and GPUs) run as fast as possible, and used big heatsinks and fans to cool to a tolerable level. Remember the Athon XP ;D

gayStation 3 is a later design, yet obviously still suffers.  Modern 360's are much improved, but I doubt you'll ever get its CPUs and GPUs to run efficiently (heat wise).

TBH until recently there were more FPSs on 360 but I am not keen on FPS.
Racing games - just take your pick
Platformers - PS3
TPS - I reckon PS3 as well

As to Kinnect - OK for the casual fun type games but not for a slob out on the settee, and not for prescision.

Move - well we have some of it (camera and a couple of controllers but no nav controller) what it does do it does well, what it isn't good as is a replacement for a normal controller.

Never had an issue with that design - not on PS2 nor PS3, and the designs are very similar externally.

You do need to come across 360 fanboys - very big in America and very funny.

They automatically slate anything non Microsoft.

TBH the only 360 exclusive I would want to try is Halo but I am not very good at FPS and prefer TPS.

I don't tend to knock other consoles but will defend the PS3 if it is knocked as we own one and do know its capabilities.
