NOT FINE!! could not get on yesterday evening at all,
timed it once it took eleven minutes to load the page,
the dreaded white format was there but much worse than usual, if i tried to open a subject it wouldnt!!1
tried constantly from 6pm till 11pm when i gave up, tried different ways such as google search, and direct but all were the same, it wouldn not load, on the bright side it gave me plenty to read this morning when the dogs got me up at 6am!!

obviuosly it is fine this morning!! will add havent had this problem for ages then just lately it started again, but yesterday was the worst one, had a slight case of it the otherday but refreshing the page allowed it to function properly??

All fine at home on Virgin cable. Lastnight however on the lappy with orange dongle everything was SLOW.
Was just up the road from you on Felixstowe dock!!!

Must give you my number again! Could have met up for a while, although my back is still playing up so I'm not great company!

Not sure if the laptop will be fixed or not but managed to "fix" iPhone last night at about 01:00 when I still couldn't sleep. Just switched from WiFi to 3G for connection for one page load :-/

Around 8pm last night.... images on initial load of gen discussion page was slow...hardly any....but then the thread i looked at was ok....then i wandwered off

try a dns flush from command 

2 different devices

A router reboot *may* help, but if its a resolution issue, that could be crappy ISP DNS servers (some ISPs aren't protecting against DNS poisoning).

I would suggest using opendns, gets away from the issue of lousy ISP dns

Not sure I'd recommend their services, esp the free service they offer. Its not great

They will never admit it, but all mobile companies use proxies. This can lead to all sorts of diagnostic issues. Hence mobile use tends to hit this issue more.

The images server isn't the greatest, given a choice, wouldn't exist, but its a necessary evil given our setup, and our priority of keeping the main part of OOF - the parts that do the processing/storing/results - as stable as we possibly can. And doing so on budget^*.
