« on: 15 January 2011, 23:43:17 »

It's come through, he has the option of taking a 'speed awareness course' rather than get points and a fine.........Great option, we have told him that he WILL be doing it.... ::) ::)

swmbo is spitting feathers as she got points and a fine for speeding the day before, in his car....  ;):-X

Speed awareness course and the recent goings on may well be enough to slow him down :-/ :-/

Can't preach too much as we were all young and foolish once and I couldn't even try and pretend I was/am an Angel ;)

Usually they only let you do one  :-/

Part of those courses which hit home are the photos of previous crashes, followed by Skid Pan, showing how easily you can loose control

Those courses should be part of the actual process of learning to drive.  However they are aimed at those who "drift" over the limit rather than aggressive speeders ... who get dealt wwith more harshly (well, within the twisted confines of what pretends to be the modern day criminal justice system).
