Off to Greece then MOT
« on: 20 May 2007, 10:39:26 »

Off ot Greece tonight for a week for a much needed break and to get a tan ready for the lakes meet as i dont want to be the only one there looking deathly white ;D Then when i get home it's MOT time for the meega, dont think there will be too much wrong but do suspect a steering joint somewhere as it has started to feel a little vague at times but at a 160,000mls guess there will be the odd thing to do but in general shes in good shape so fingers crossed. Cheers, Jez

Enjoy you're break :y

Remember, the whole point of the lakes was to meet the Scots. They don't get daylight up there, so they will be ghostly white ;D

Whereabouts are you going? I can give you a tip or two. BE CAREFULL the sun bites between 11.00-3.30. Don't eat where the rest of the turists eat instead ask the locals.

Excellent advice. Keep out of afternoon sun, it will burn you very quickly, even with sunblock on. And the tourist 'tavernas' are usually overpriced for lower quality food. The real places where the locals eat will be much, much cheaper, better service (though may struggle with language), and a far better atmosphere imho.

Hi guys and thanks for the advice. Were off to Halkadiki and been there before, we allways hire a car and go and explore real places as apposed to the tourist areas, better food, better people and sign language of any sort seems to get us through if you know what i mean. Talk to you all soon as i am off to bed for forty winks before the flight. Talk to you all soon, Jez
