Johnson gone.
« on: 20 January 2011, 18:41:34 »

Alan Johnson - the only human being on the Labour front bench has resigned, "for personal and family reasons".The standard excuse.
He was utterly inept as shadow chancellor, but was the human face of the current crop, none of whom have actually spent any time living in the real world outside Westminster.
Lets hope it opens some nice big wounds and they start in internal civil war over who gets what job. :)

Apparently Ed Balls - stark staring lunatic - has replaced him. Balls wanted that job soooo badly. My guess is that he has forced Johnson out.
Balls was Browns right hand man at the treasury for years, so we know how good he is on economic matters. :o ::) :D

by all accounts (friends on both sides of the house) its a genuine and private reason - so i wish him well, others may do well to do the same instead of jumping to conclusions  :o

yep 99 times out of 100 I'd agree Albs - its always a smokescreen - not this time tho, for one the timing makes no sense, for two Wd Milliband and Ed Balls dont exactly sing from the same hymn sheet and for three no ones casting aspersions from the coalition  :o

I doubt it'll rip the Lbour party apart, he's far more interested in getting his teeth into that preening poppinjay Gideon  :y

Well said mate....none of them live in the real world and every single one of them would look you straight in the eyes and lie to you without giving it a second thought.

As for that posh Shit-head David Cameron.....did you know that he purchased a newspaper for 20p and he charged taxpayers for it.

The greedy Tosser auctually put it down on expenses....with the salary he must be on and he made the hard up taxpayer pay for his paper.

I can't remember her name...but a Labour M.P charged taxpayers for a bar of chocalate that she bought......Bitch!!!  >:( >:(

I quite liked Alan Johnson, although I really didn't understand why he got given the Shadow Chancellor brief. There were a few times when I think he wondered the same thing.  But he has gone, and now the front bench has shuffled to give Balls his number two fantasy job.  Should be some interesting exchanges ahead with Osborne and don't rule out a few little gems coming out regarding Balls' time when working in the Treasury.

1. He probably didnt want to be shadow chancellor in the first place, and has seriously embarrassed himself several times recently.
2.Keep your friends close, enemies closer. Ed would have caused a war in the party if he hadnt been "chosen" to replace him.
3. The coalition will be contentrating as much on attacking Balls at least as much as Labour  are concentrating on Osborne.

Time will tell. ;)
