Impending ins. renewal.
« on: 22 January 2011, 19:09:31 »

Been with Budget for two years now as they're the cheapest on said comparison site but this years quote is £368 tpft. For those who don't know & love/hate me i'm 24...ok... 47, clean licence (amazingly) & full no claims, car is a 98 3.0 MV6. HGV occupation is said to go against me but otherwise think this is too much. I've been given an independant broker by friends to check out but any suggestions would be appreciated. Guy. :y

Having your C+E should go for you not against. Last time I got a quote I forgot to mention I have a C+E on my license, she re-ran the quote and it dropped because the system classed me as a 'professional driver'.

Apparently if you drive for a living then drive your car home you are more at risk of having an accident as you become complacent on a short regular journey in the car after driving the truck all day.

break Guy that sounds a bit steep :o Have you had any fully comp. quotes because the strange thing is they can be cheaper than tpft. :-/

I am with Aviva, 46 years old, max no claims, protected no claims, excess £150.00 fully comp, just paid £325 in December. They wanted £345.00 but told them  had cheaper quote and they matched it. That is about £20.00 more than I paid last year, I could not get a cheaper quopte on any comparison type sites.

Ive just gone with esure fully comp £355, 44 years old with 6 years no claims.

Would have been cheaper had my old insurance company not mucked about sending prove of no claims

I have this proof of no claims problem. the last ins. co. is supposed to keep such details. I've gone from FULL to 9 to 6 each time i change. Really getting tiresome now. >:(
