Just to add my two penneth, this has to be thought about with some security in mind. The forum is open to browse by anyone without registering, this means that anyone in the whole world can connect to the internet can find out exactly where we live (and potentially where your vehicle is parked)..... It needs some sort of security other than a password published on a public forum.

Please don't get me wrong, the concept is brilliant.

Than would a mod please modify my initial post to remove the line that includes the password and then replace it with.

"PM me for the password".

There may be another mention of it in the thread somewhere by another user. I'll find it and let you know the post number to modify.

That way only members can PM me for the password.

Once this is "embedded", surely we can limit access to the page to members only?

A couple of quick questions:

1. Is my profile only viewable by members?

2. If so, is there a way to put the password into my profile so that members only can check my profile for the password?

This would save me a lot of PM management

Another thought was that rather than the "sticky" on the Newbie area, how about a line in the welcome e-mail that tells a new member about the map? Just an idea :-/

There are various options under discussion regarding the best way to manage this within the forum, not least of which is a tab along the 'home, help,search etc' line which would show access to the map.

Please bear with the admins. When they are satisfied that general as well as personal security is adequate, we will implement....

I'll feel much better when I've managed to help Jaime to publish the map inside a member's only page on the OOF, it will become much more integrated and easier to maintain then.

He's a very busy man right now, so it might take a few days, but I do hope that we get it working soon.
