Gary Moore R.I.P.

Just heard on Sky news that Gary Moore died today. Dont know how or why, but a big shock.
R.I.P.Gary, and thanks for the great music. :'(

i play the guitar and he was one of my hero's .. i learnt parisien walkways from him   R.I.P.

He was 57 or 58. Grew up about a mile down the road from me. was left handed but played guitar right handed (as do I).
Was in Thin Lizzy ar least twice, but left because he hated the drugs.
I saw him live at a private gig in a tiny little hall in Sheperds Bush a couple of years ago ( 200 people filled the place) and stood right at the front of the stage about 2 feet away from him. I watched his fingers on the fretboard for 2 hours trying to work out how he did what he did. In the end the answer came to me - god given talent, some people have it, the rest of us wish we had it.

So Lissie does not know who Gary Moore was? She is a member of a large club, as I had no idea either.

She simply posted here rather than ask Google,

Its much the same if i said Alex Trimble was a great singer, bet you don't know he is.
