Whoever was responsible are Total Muppets!, didn't the blokes sent to put down the markings have the savvy to question their instructions?
Mind you, they're no better here! During the run up to the Tall Ships Race last year some idiot painted double yellow lines over a dead hedgehog! What IS this Country coming to?

it's not worth the grief to argue with daft instructions,i was once told to put a new front door on a terraced house ,unlocked the old front door, went in and found no roof ,floors,internal walls etc ,told the foreman who said"it's on the F*****g ticket, so do it" so i did,only for the house to be demolished a bit later!
