Not quite on the same level, but I remember hearing about old (1980s) Skoda's and people putting powerful stereos/speakers in them, and they were popping out the side windows and door locks/handles.  ;D

If it's true I don't know ?  ::)

Years ago Street Machine magazine bought a Coupe version of one of the Skoda's (was it the estelle) and pulled out the engine and replaced it with a Porsche 911 motor.
They did uprate the brakes, etc.  But what a street sleeper off the lights  :o  ;D ;D
