imo , neither lcd nor led.. dont be mislead with price, brand and specs..

go there and buy what yor eyes told you the best :y

In my case, a 32" Sony CRT. :y

The main advantage with LED (edge lit) TVs, IMHO, is the fact that they are thin. Picture quality, power consumption (despite what manufacturers will have you believe) and so on are certainly no better than a FL backlit LCD, and, in some cases I have seen, LED TVs have pretty nasty picture quality.

That's the problem in my mind, more than anything. I'd look at a TV in one shop and think it's got a reasonable picture, then another example of the same TV elsewhere looks terrible (after I've taken it out of "chav attract" picture mode and tried to tweak it to give a natural image). I suspect there's a bit of variability between individual panels.

I'll bide my time for a little longer.

Kevin.....if you want a working spare, albeit slightly out of focus, imo....my old one is sitting in the corner of my dining room, waiting for me to have 3 shredded wheat and take it to the tip!

Just been watching 'click' on news 24. Pretty good buyers guide, without getting techy. It will be on iplayer.
