Messing with members posts.
« on: 14 February 2011, 23:07:28 »

Re omegods Bumping into Stephen Fry post. I've no problem with the PC brigade picking me up on dissaproving of what gay men do to eachother, some folk are more accepting than others, fair go.
What i strongly object to ...YET AGAIN is folk messing with eachothers posts...ie bumming/bumping. It's bad enough when admins use this to the wrong...Capri?   let alone letting member do it.

This is'nt in any way humourous & should be disabled. If anyone has something to say (& many of us do) stop being a fanny & say it outright.

ONLY ADMINS  should be able to do this.

Everyone else should stand up & argue thier corner or shut up. Guy. >:(

If its done in a humourous and friendly way between people who know each other, I dont think it tends to cause problems tbh. But I know what you mean.

WOOOOO hurumphity...., why does this bother you so Guy? It's not the first time iirc .

For what it's worth, I think it's fairly obvious the quote has been messed with, and therefor not your words, IF it's spotted, I never read the whole quote twice personally.

Plus I suspect "The Man" is somebody's alias. Certainly I wind up merchant anyway.  ;D

You can't disable it.. well you could I suppose, if you rewrote the forum software, or disabled the ability to quote posts.

Honestly I don't see what the big deal is.

I'm guilty of doing this and put my hands up to it... But only to people who I know will take it the right way and I always make a joke of it.

I do agree that there seems to be some "winding up" going on tonight though ::)
