Do you get big turnouts at the meets

The lakes looks like being a biggie.  The Scottish meets seem to have a small, but dedicated following, and looks like a good time is had.  Santa Pod had a good few turn up, despite it being bloody cold.

We are quite new, so not had many meets.

The 'cambelt party' events, where all sorts of work gets down on cars, are usually very popular. We had 2 on the same day in Brackley back in February - both my road and Tunnie's road were full of Omegas.  Stupid idea doing it in February though, weather was wet and cold, and the light soon goes.  Must do it in summer next time...

well quite a few live near each other.
Currently, LB66 and MDTM are only a few miles apart.  AA and I live a fair way away from them and each other ;)

Remember, Ronnie McB, stepped down as an Admin at the end of last year...

As well as admin you have the first tranch of members who followed across, eg Matchless, Bo Bo, TD, Me ect ect

Meant to mention that a large number of them all live near each other ::)
No so sure. Sure, there is a Nottingham/Derby contingent, but then with have pockets of members in other areas, even Brackley now, what with me, Tunnie, Omegatoy, BazMV6 all within 6 miles of me...

Hmm the Brackley Bunch, only me around here
Sure another Worcester person signed up a while back, possibly not back since?  JamesV6CDX ain't that far from you...

About 25 miles, that said AA is not that far the other way

I am sort of in London - on the outskirts near Heathrow and yes, this is a great forum.

I went to the Brackley cambelt party and it was a great day.  Unfortunately, I was unwell so could not stay the course, but it was a great day none the less.

how did all you admins meet, was it through the forum or did you know each other before the forum started.

I was working as a waiter in a cocktail bar, when I met them.
They picked me out, and shook me up, and turned me around
Turned me into someone new
Now one year later on Ive got Omegas all around
Success has been so easy for me
But don't forget it's them who put me where I am now
And they can put you back down too....

Sorry...... :-/

I was originaly on the vxon forum with my Cav etc.....then moved in to the then some what quiet rear wheel drive section having bought a facelift Omega.......

Then things got a bit heated and the new forum was setup....

First met Laidback66 through VXON when he said to come along to a meet near by which was being organised by some of the Yahoo group.......

I never realy did much on the Yahoo group, mainly because the front end was so naff (its only a news group at the end of the day!)

Met The Boy when he dumped oil all over my drive at a cambelt party I held (it was cold that day to!)  >:(

Met Auto Addict when he popped over to have his cambelt etc changed.....had spoken a fair bit before.

Met Mr McB when he joined VXON and needed loan of my cambelt kit.

Been trying to escape ever since......

:-[ - It was Ronnies' car, and that was destined always to leak, esp on your drive  :P

I met LB66 first, then MDTM, Matchless & RMcB, then TheBoy at Santa Pod, + a few others

Shortly afterwards I was invited to become a Mod.
