Not quite sure why you would want any software like this....if you understand the basics of file/folder sharing, then its not difficult to setup without this software. Altho if your trying to get an XP pc to talk to a Vista pc, then i believe that can be a bit tricky to get to work, without software like this (I've never tried so dont know)  :-/

Vista/7 can talk to XP ok but XP struggles the other way round. File permissions and all that palaver.

What are you trying to do AA connect your Dansette to your pc?

 ;D :-X

M$ appear to make it as difficult as possible to network their current OSs to their previous ones. Can't imagine why. ;D

As said, let us know what you're trying to achieve.

XP is pretty bloody old. They have, thankfully, beefed up security with Vista+, but people dont want to use security, becuase they are stuck with their XP mentality. It is easily possible to downgrade Vista+ security, but MS have learned its better to implement decent security out of the box :y

Phillips Disc Jockey Major actually ;)

I'm running Win7 on the PC and XP on the Laptop.

Everythings connected, including the Wii and printer, just wondered about software tools that's all out of curiosity.

I've still got one box running XP rest are all on 7 and going from 7 to XP is fine XP to 7 as I said doesn't like it and that's without anything other than windows inbuilt file & print sharing.
Wii and Xboxes either plug in or connect wirelessly direct to the router.
What does your networking proggy do then?
