OOF Chain ??
« on: 29 January 2011, 15:16:02 »

This is a bit of a long shot, but I need to get an Omega rear door from RobG in Bristol to me in North Essex.
Just wondered if any OOFers might be travelling on the roads between there and somewhere near here in the not too distant future ??
I bought a door from Rob a few weeks ago, but by the time DHL delivered it to me it was wrecked - dents all over the place. >:(
Rob has another door which he has very kindly said I can have, but we dont want to use a courier again after last time.
I know its unlikely that this could be organised, but if you dont ask you wont know. :y

I'll give a serious answer! Will it fit through the rear door of my elite to go on the back seats?

If so, can anyone get it to the NE Hampshire meet? I'll be going to that and could easily drop it in to you on my way back :y :y

Failing that... I can do it in September when I go to Newent ;D ;D

Thats better !! ::) ;D ;D......Brilliant Paul thanks for the offer. :y
I should be able to answer your question later when I get home from work, as I have a spare door at home.
Would then just be a question of whether someone could bring it up to the meet. :-/
Might have to start a seperate thread for that if necassary.  :-/
Thanks again. :y

It's only one door though so shouldn't be a massive problem :y

Essentially, what you need is a door to door service. :y

(Needless to say, if I were not stuck in this keek-hole I would have that to you without difficulty)

Albs, I believe Entwood is coming down for the Cambelt meet... Perhaps someone can get it to him in Swindon and he might be able to do the onward stretch? Just a thought :-/ :-/

Sure someone will help out :y :y

[edit]Just looked through this thread again and it makes me look thick as Entwood and I posted at the same time ^^^^^^^^^ ::) ::)[/edit]

It gets better, I didnt think there was the remotest chance when I asked the question. :) :)
Thankyou for the offer Entwood, much appreciated. :y :y
LD - in answer to your earlier question. It fits in the back quite easily, although it doesnt fit on the seats.the lower edge sits on the transmission tunnel and it leans back with the upper edge resting on the back of the seat, if thats ok ?
I would like to add that I wouldnt like anyone to end up with marks etc. on their interior due to transporting the door, so please take some old cloths or similar to protect interiors, or if in doubt maybe dont do it. I wouldnt want to be the cause of someone spoiling a nice interior. ;)
