It gets better, I didnt think there was the remotest chance when I asked the question. :) :)
Thankyou for the offer Entwood, much appreciated. :y :y
LD - in answer to your earlier question. It fits in the back quite easily, although it doesnt fit on the seats.the lower edge sits on the transmission tunnel and it leans back with the upper edge resting on the back of the seat, if thats ok ?
I would like to add that I wouldnt like anyone to end up with marks etc. on their interior due to transporting the door, so please take some old cloths or similar to protect interiors, or if in doubt maybe dont do it. I wouldnt want to be the cause of someone spoiling a nice interior. ;)

All fine mate... Seems like it's getting easier ;) Just need to get it from Bristol to Swidnod now... Not that far either in the grand scheme of things :y :y

Bristol to Swindon sounds more doable than Bristol to North Essex.
Whether this happens or not, just for the fact that Swindon to me looks likely to happen, it never ceases to surprise and impress, just how great this forum can be. :y :)
Paul - if possible I will try to nip out to the A12 to meet you on the way there, and send down a case of beer for you lot to share out when the days work is done. ;)

I'm too far away to help with the logistical side of things but may i suggest bubble wrapping & taping the whole thing up to save any grubby marks & bruising/creasing caused by pressure from sharp edges? :)

Which "side" of Bristol is RobG ?? If its "my" side I might be able to pop down and get it, if all else fails ... or possibly meet Rob half way for a beer  coffee if we can sort out a suitable time ??

NW of Bristol is "slightly" away .. but better than SW !!  NE would have been good ... If I can remember the password I'll look at OOf map .. !!  :)

EDIT :

Another of the sites I can't access .. :( Getting a bit fed up with this now .. :(

Forgot to post in here t'other day .. :)

RobG dropped the door off at my place last weekend, left it in the greenhouse..... made me wonder what multi-coloured plants had suddenly sprouted !!

He also kindly dropped some clips off for me ..  :y :y :y - I need to know how much I owe you .. :)

It fits nicely on the back seat so will travel to Farnborough next saturday ... then onwards with Lazydocker.

OOF Rocks..  :)

Bristol and back would be over £50 in fuel, which to me, doesnt make sense to collect a door tbh.

Zilch, zero, naff all. What self-respecting Oofer can possibly charge for a few plastic trim clips :) :y
