Don't understand the stigma associated with BMWs.

They make good cars, the M3 being one of their best.

Yet still people have an unreasonable hatred for them.

I don't think it the cars themselves  that people don't particularly like... :D :D :D

Thats because BMWs are overpriced junk. No better than most other marques (often no worse mind - except some of the stunts BMW pull to hide flaws/faults).

Swirl flaps on diesels. Cam cover seals on patrols, same as the omega.

... And as said it's not the cars so much, but the people who drive them, deaply superior muppets in pink shirts as a rule!

This thread reminded me to watch this week's TG. Has anyone else noticed that the Peel 50 in the opening titles is a mirror image?  :-?
Just noticed it.  :y :y :y

I'd swap my Omega for an E92 325i/330i/335i/M3 tomorrow if I could, and I wouldn't care less about the stigma attached to owning one!

There's a lot to like about BMWs for us Omega owners, pretty much all BMWs have; RWD, good handling, great engines, nice interior and decent aesthetics.  Sure they're not 100% bulletproof and they have the odd design flaw, but so do the vast majority of cars.

The E46 3 series was actually the best selling car in Britain outselling Ford Mondeos, guess all those owners were tossers too?

Imo the stigma attached to BMW owners has been outdated for a while now.

I have more of an issue with 2.0tdi rep mobile VW Passats, Vauxhall Insignias and Audi A3/4s nowadays..

Don't worry I still love my Omega! :P :)

I'm automatically a prick for having the amount of BMW's I've had, but, what can you say really, you get moaned at for having a certain type of car. That's about all I can say on the subject.

I liked the simile at the beginning, made me think if the M3 is the Call Of Duty what car would be the Killzone (3)?

Did say " as a rule Del" therefor there are always exceptions  ;)

Can only speak as i find, ime the cars are built to look better built, and in some areas they are, but not in areas that count. Well not enough to to warant the extra price over an omega anyway.

So, basickly, over priced .....   Imo anyway.  :-X

There were cars? All I saw was some (completely staged) 'action' with a combine harvester and some blonde bird who appeared to be on the show purely because she's bisexual and attractive..

I must be getting old :-/
