International space station/shuttle

Just wondering if anyone noticed them passing over last night,as it was a clear sky and they were quite visable even without bino,s.
They will be over tonight again at 7.03pm visable for 3 mins weather permitting.

yes, we often have good clear skies. Best time was a few years back when actually saw the shuttle separate from the Space station. Brave folk.

Most interesting thing we saw was the (secret) Spanish solar powered military drone. Very clever bit of kit.

what direction do you have to look to see them?

It comes from the west,its the brightest thing in the sky,even more so when the shuttle is docked to it.

Sadly it looks like the skies round here will be full of cloud this evening.  Oh well, I'll have a butchers later anyway just in case.

Well I took a look and did see a small white dot very high up race across the sky until it disappeared behind a cloud, so I'm guessing that was it?

Well went out to have a look, quiet impressed a lot faster and brighter than I was expecting, pretty much straight up, 90 degrees down here in Epping Forest.

Thanks guys, love this forum, my first IFO, well apart from my abduction 20 yeas ago but dont like to talk about that.

I bloodly missed it,was in the club and lost track of the time,would have been a good night to view,no moon up yet and a pretty clear sky.

Lovely little vid and it's a shame the shuttle will soon be no more,  I remember bunking off to watch Columbia launch in '81.
