People have different reasons for believing what they believe and behaving how they behave, but imo as long as they arent doing anyone else any harm (like starting wars about it, or sucide bombing missions etc.) I say live and let live.
I have seen ( and was involved in, in a previous life) all sorts of unusual behaviour connected to religion. The thing is when people are deeply involved in their particular flavour of it, they dont realise that their behaviour appears "abnormal" to "normal" people. They think that "normal" people are the "abnormal" ones in many instances.

That's interesting.... :) So what do you consider 'Normal' then albs? I frequently struggle with this, though I have an interpretation of it.. :y

Its a very subjective thing imo Mike. One mans ceiling is another mans floor and all that.Thats why I used inverted commas for those words. ;)
I try not to be judgmental of people...............as long as they agree with me. :y ;D ;D

Indeed, I agree.... :y  I was once told that 'normal' was the majority, in any given situation....sort of works.... ::)

I work with disabled young people, mostly Learning Disabled; in some discussions with parents you need to liken some behaviour as which would be expected of any typical 16 year old. Many parents are happy to use 'normal' as a comparison, I tend to use 'mainstream' an educational phrase as using 'non disabled', I feel, reinforces their child's 'disability'  just my take on it, not saying I am right, just wondered what you thought.... :y
