For the first time in his life, our chocolate lab yesterday saw a pile of horse poo.

His reaction?

Take a mouthful!

Yuk.>:( >:( :D

Where exactly do you think the phrase 'Dog breath' comes from? My dog used to howl at the door when the rag-man was passing, couldn't wait to scoff the horse's doo doo. Then, of course, he'd want to lick my face. Happy days.

Not to many years ago I used to drive a van in my job. I was caught short one day and drove into a country park about dusk. Found a secluded spot and hung my backside out of the van rear doors. I had just finished and cleaned up when a couple with a labrador came by. It was early in the year and the pile was steaming, the dog scoffed the lot., including the blue roll used to clean up with.

Thankfully we had sinks in our vans by then to wash our hands.

So............to save going out in the cold, couldn't you have squashed the poo down the plug hole? ;D ;D

Unfortunatly the sinks had there own drain tanks and had to be emptied by hand. And there was no way I was going anywhere near that pile.  ;D ;D

Besides the sink was by the side loading door and to high for my backside.  ;D

Van was 1997 LDV Convoy twin rear wheel and I absolutly loved it. It was noisy it rattled, but would I swap it for anything else ? no I would not. The Transit owners hated it because I could tow more and had more space in it.

my dog (staffie x lurcher) likes to find the biggest pile of horse manure she can (usually a trailer full of stable cleanings).

She dives head firsti into it, digs, rolls, and eats, then rolls, digs, and eats more.

then she gets pushed into the river on the way home...

She doesn't live  in the house.
She's not allowed in the house without a bath - in the garden, with a hosepipe and a bucket of warm soapy water.

Our Black Lab has the uncanny knack of finding Fox poo. He then delights in rolling in it. The smell is horrendous.
We had to tie him to a post and wash and hose him down for about an hour to clean him. He still stank for days >:( >:(
