couldn't the UN buy it, refit as a hi-tech hospital ship that could travel to natural or humanitarian disaster areas to provide support? i'm guessing the running costs divided by 200 odd nations wouldnt be too bad  :y

Funnily enough the Training Ship Ark Royal is actually an island on the Leeds/Liverpool canal (at the leeds end).
