Just looked at eh guide and its prety good!! however the one bit i take issue with is the add a little fairy liquid!! ye gods its full of salt!!!
when flatting with wet and dry, yes its a good idea to add a little lubricant but not fairy liquid!! in the workshop we use a bar of soap with no additives or pefumes!! dove is a good one but i very much woulddt use fairy liquid, this is just my personal preference and have been spraypainting for years
others may disagree but its what ive always used and had no problems!!

I thought it was good too.......but i wasnt sure about the 'orange peel' effect? :-/
Do you need to do that if metallic paint and you have access to an oven for drying?
lo TD orange peel is usually caused by putting to much paint or to high a pressure or trying to force dry it, nowadays it shouldnt really happen but sadly owing to the rush rush world, we now live in it does!!
the orange peel effect will be only in the laquer which is easily flatted out usin fine grade wet and dry and soap the a good compound cut and polish
Ah rite cheers

My local paintshop didnt cut too many corners then

Coz they didnt do that bit..and the reason i want sure about it...on my veccyB they took a crease outa the rear bumper....by heating and reforming it....and took a crease outa the rear door (estate) ....they may have filled that....not sure :-/
I asked them to 'bodge' it.....as no point in an A1 paint job on a taxi.....you carnt see the repair unless you look at the right place....and no 'orange peel' effect......they had the veccy a day.....when i went to pick it up it was a tad warm

Think it had been in the oven at gas mark6 trying to dry it......

Did get told dont go putting yer fingers on the paintwork for the next few hours coz the fingerprints will stay there.....but that was my choice in taking the car back...
£150 i reckon was a bargain

For the numpty driver (not me) reversing into a post quite hard!
