Bought a cheap Micro cam
« on: 03 April 2011, 15:02:15 »

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sports-Video-Camera-Digital-Recorder/dp/B003URUXVQ/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1301839258&sr=8-4

Couldnt believe the price and thought it must be rubbish but its not bad quality at all.

The 'Muvi' Micro Cam is £45. Attached it to the dash for a quick 2 min drive.

For the money its really not bad...

I bought same one and posted it here about a year ago  :P

I later bought this little setup as I wanted a preview:

I hope you did not pay £45 for that camera  :o

Hmmm, you could have got the same thing from e-gay for a tenner Dan, albeit with a plastic body instead of alloy? They are reasonably good but the one I bought went pete tong after a couple of months, the battery got incredibly hot & swelled up to 3 times it's normal size before melting its way out of the casing. Glad it wasn't in my pocket at the time! :o

Hey that is excellent.

Do you use it to travel back in time to when petrol is cheaper e.g. 2008?

Problem found I was its shape, it was a bit awkward to mount. Mind you I was trying to put it on my motorbike helmet!

word to the wise, dont drop it from anything more than a few inches, and be careful when inserting/removing the memory card

my cam (same as this one) lasted about 6 weeks before it stopped working properly, it no longer holds charge
