Y. A. Environmental Thread_ APOLOGY!!!
« on: 03 April 2011, 15:00:07 »

Yet another "enviromental" thread is producing insults between members!! >:( >:( >:( >:(  IT IS NOT!!!  IT IS ME!!! ::) ::) ::) ::) :-X :-X :-X

It is all down to one person believing the other, who does not share the OP's view, is talking "twaddle" - his words!! ::) ::) ::) >:( >:( >:( >:(

It was suggested some time ago these threads have exhausted all arguments on here and cannot go any further due to some very entrenched views. WRONG!! ll causing unnecessary ill feeling with at least one member! >:( >:( >:(

I generally will not comment ever   I MAY WELL DO NOW!! on these "environmental" threads again, but am still interested to see what they are about.

But this bad feeling on these threads is now continually transpiring and it is spoiling this forum at least for me, a fairly open minded individual who can see both arguments.  However I have had enough of the ill feeling that I have witnessed growing since I first joined, when it was just fun to come onto the forum!!

My opinion I know, but PLEASE l let's put an end to this wrangling! ;) ;) ;) :-X :-X   ALL SORTED AND IT WAS JUST MY PERCEPTION!! ::) ::) :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[

  But someone who stated they were leaving, but then "temporarily" returned, is still causing unnecessary ill feeling with at least one member! >:( >:( >:(

Why are you stirring yet again with a new thread? Banjax thinks that, as a nation, we should be quite happy to sit back and allow emerging nations to take away our industrial base. I am quite within my rights to say that, in my opinion, his view is twaddle, because I cannot see how it can be of any good wahtsoever to the future of the UK. I see plenty of people writing "'dangle berries'" in reply to posts, yet somehow you like to make me out to be a rude person.

It is up to the admins to run this forum and if any of them decide to take me to task, then that is their business.

And I don't like to be referred to in the 3rd person. Everyone knows it's me your talking about, so have the guts to say so.  :( :( :(

You know the old saying about never discussing religion or politics? I think we need to add 'the environment' to that list.

Absolutely Aaron!! :y :y :y

I would support such a move to make this Forum a far more pleasant experience, as I believe the Admins have wanted for some time!

Remember their comment about a "broken Forum....."?

Since when was "twaddle" offensive, I'm sure the word filter is set to the correct level.

However I am personally amazed why Nickbat doesn't post his views on a more suitable forum. As has been indicated before, point taken by him to be fair, but we are back to square one again. Ffs give it a rest. It woudnt be quite so bad if we entered into a car subject ones in a while.  :-?

And why the politics junkies don't do the same if it's a subject that dear to them...     :-/

But generally we can't be moaning about somebody having an opposing view surely?

everything can be discussed imo , if the participants have enough maturity.. no need to fight, and no need to apply forbidden rules..

for fek sake give these arguments a rest, you don't have to wade into a discussion, shout and moan Lizzie, then create a new thread about it!?

What was the point, other than to stir and create another sh!t storm?

Its the admins I feel sorry for, another load of crap to sort out  :(

I used "twaddle" as just the latest example of a rude put down. ;)

However, yes I agree on what you say Chris and would go along with any restrictions on subjects the Admins would like to place on "General Chat" 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

I have deliberately stayed away from commenting on "environmental" issues, and restricted my input on threads about "politics"  I have tried to contribute more on transport, engineering, with a sprinkling on "history" when appropriate.  I am hoping that, apart from this thread itself of course, I am being far less controversial and providing interesting discussion points on a CAR forum! :D :D ;)
