Ok here,s the story....................
Phil, Elite Pete and TB got things pretty well sussed - quite how I'm not sure but there were a few clues flying about. :-?
Anyway, I am now the proud owner of Big Rod's "Big Daddy" 3.2 MV6 Irmscher Estate

Markie is now the owner of my 2.5 V6 CD Estate that he wanted as a towing car

(although he's not in possession of it just yet)
It's a bit of a long story, but when I first got to know Rod on VXon nearly 2 years ago, I asked him for first refusal on his car if he ever parted with it. A couple of months ago he told me that reluctantly, that time was now approaching and was I still interested as he was having to part with it due to having to have a car that was less than 5 years old in order to get his business allowance for it. To say that I nearly jumped down his throat would be a mild understatement.

and a price was agreed.
Anyway, this wasn't due to happen until sometime in June, however, Rod phoned me and said he had seen a car he was interested in and was coming down my way to visit his relatives (which happened to be today) and said he could possibly bring the car down but would have to find a way of getting home.
In the meantime I hadn't even advertised mine and was thinking "oh sh*t", better get moving and started by advertising it on here.
I then had a PM from Rod saying that he had spoken to Markie and he might be interested as he wants a V6 estate for towing. However, my car didn't have a tow bar but Rod's did. So after many more PM's and a few phone calls a plan was hatched. I didn't need a tow bar so Rod said he'd get his taken off and could give it to Markie to be fitted to mine if Markie decided to buy it. Well, to cut a long story short, the sale of mine to Markie was agreed.
The plan was then for Rod to drive to me, hand over his car and collect mine, then drive mine back to Scotland and hand over to Mark.
This all happened a couple of hours ago and the deal done

And...........oh what a car!! I LUV IT!!

8-)
So, a big thanks to Rod and Markie for getting this plan hatched and pulled of successfully

and.............a big thanks to OOF for making it all possible

Will probably add a few updates when I've calmed down a bit and will get some piccies posted soon.
PS I might not be totally accurate on a couple of points but I'm sure Mark and Rod will point out any errors - just a bit too excited at the moment
