A 3some with Carol Vorderman and Nigella Lawson would be nice and retiring to France at the age of 50 would also be a dream come true but ive got my health a good wife and a good car so I can't complain :y

Here, here, and a win on the lottery tomorrow would be nice.

 ;D ;D

I seriously hope you guys are at least twice my age... or are you into that whole MILF thing?  [smiley=lipsrsealed.gif]  ;D

Personally I'd much rather have Hilary Duff, not a wrinkle in sight :D

Every time we discuss anything other than Omegas, and sometimes with Omegas, several people jump in saying how whatever is being discussed is cr@p.  There are some things that I don't like, such as Microsoft, Orwellian erosion of rights, and the current crop of new cars.  It is getting to the point that I struggle to think of things that I want to get, and I don't have very much.  The only thing that I can think of that I got in the last couple of years that I really like other than the Omega is an LCD TV.

Is there anything that most of us think is worth getting any more that we don't already all have?  This can include cars, but obviously we already have Omegas.

An endless line of uber-hot girls, preferably in their prime, so that you never need to do the same one twice  ;D

On a more realistic note.... I wouldn't mind a 997 911 TT, lush car that's quick, handles, and can still be used every day. And I bet it can still at least match my BMW on fuel economy :o. I've been tempted to lash out some green and chop in the BMW for a 996 C4 or similar, but every time I see one go past in Edinburgh it reminds me how common they seem to have become and I can no longer feel excited about having to add so much cash to get a car that's a lot less exclusive than what I have.

But, at the moment, that's about it. Bike-wise I have my R1 so I don't really see any significant upgrade from there. I'd maybe have a traillie as well just as a toy :)
The 997TT is very good.  However, like many other new cars here a ridiculous price.  If I lived somewhere else and had the money I would consider it.  Even if I could, I wouldn't buy it here.

For half the price you can put an X51 motor, tranny and real suspension/brakes in a Cayman.  That is very very good.  Even a tweaked Cayaman S is very good.  Not as lush, but then the 997TT is far from dramatic.

Trains may have been invented here, but public transport is a foreign concept!

Nah even when you see paparazzi shots taken when she's not expecting it there are no wrinkles... might be something to do with her being 19 rather than the wrong side of 40 though  :y

The Cayman is a damn nice car, not as iconic as the 911 but I wouldn't say no. Certainly a lot better looking, and less common, than the Boxster. I considered the latter for a while, but those are soooo common, plus they're a convertible which I don't want as long as I live in the UK, and even the 3.2 S isn't that fast (I managed to get by one in my 840, and he was trying, though well into triple figures on an airstrip of course) so that's pretty well ruled out. Loads cheaper though, good 986 3.2 S go for £15-20k depending on age & mileage.

I agree the 911 TT is far from a thoroughbred sports car (that's what the GT3, or even the GT3 RS, is for) but that's a compromise I'd be more than willing to make. It's still quicker than most things, handles damn well, yet can be driven across Europe in comfort. The GT3 and the like are just a little too raw, it'd become a weekend car. Saying that I can't afford either so it's a moot point ;).

My folks have a 46" or 50" (can't remember which) LCD HDTV.... it's great, picture is far sharper than most CRTs and it doesn't have that horrid headache-inducing flicker of 50Hz CRTs. However, it shows up just how poor quality standard definition broadcasts are, you can see all the MPEG2 artefacts of over-compression! I highly recommend subscribing to HDTV service if you get one.

Personally I have no intention of buying one any time soon, as I have little interest in TV.

Well that leaves an ideal opporunity to teach them a thing or two.... every day is a school day and all that ;D

Besides, when it comes to this sort of thing I'd say less is definitely more. I'd rather not be frolicking with girls who've been round the block more times than a Hackney cab. :y
